There are two ways in achieving communication goals characterizing the audience and responding to their characteristics. Begin by characterizing the audience. it is an essential step in the writing process, although the message might be short, the writer should take the time to know how to adapt the vocabulary for the audience. Secondly, anticipating the audience makes it easier for decision making. Know how to react to the readers’ profile; in terms of choosing the appropriate language, deciding on the suitable tone and selecting the desirable channel. Another way of profiling the audience is knowing if there is a secondary audience available and in this case, there should be more background for information provided identifying the important items.
